The new via ferrate "Les Cordes" is classified as moderate to easy. It features breathtaking panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Dolomites. The route runs along the edge of the Puez-Odle Nature Park, following a centuries-old path. 

Many decades ago, the farmers of La Villa used this direct and very steep trail to bring their cows and horses up to the Gardenaccia plateau. it was much steeper and more demanding than than the trails leading to the plateau today. The path was called "les cordes" (ladin for "the ropes"). 

In summer of 2019, a via ferrata was built along this historic trail and was named "Les Cordes", after the original path. 

The route is easily accessible from La Villa, also via the Gardenaccia chairlift. Form the top station of the lift, it's only 5-minutes walk to the start of the via ferrata.
